Taste testing domain names or “domain kiting” as insiders
know it has been responsible for building huge online
empires generating millions of dollars every month for
their owners.

The key to domain taste testing is to take advantage of a
five-day grace period offered by select domain name
registry services. After doing careful research to identify
and determine the commercial resale value of a domain name,
the investor purchases the domain through the registrar and
begins to immediately test its worth.

Different domain name investors may use a variety of
different strategies to put a new domain through its paces
including setting up Google AdSense ads to generate
click-through commissions through text ads to setting up
more extensive web sites with hundreds of pages of related
content and products related to the domain name.

Using links to existing affiliate products and programs,
reseller products, or links to online stores such as
Amazon.com or Target.com, even a one-man shop can create a
domain rich with products and custom offerings without ever
having to stock a single physical product on a shelf.

Within a five-day grace period, the domain name investor
can usually determine the ability of the domain to turn a
hefty profit. If the name fails to attract traffic or
generate satisfactory click-through commissions or product
sales, the domain name can be returned to the domain
registrar and the registration fee refunded towards the
purchase of a new domain name.

In this way, a savvy domain name investor can continuously
test a variety of domain names to determine the best ones
to hold onto for future expansion or resale.

Just as fine wine increases as it ages, domain names can
also improve with age and resell for substantially more
dollars the longer they are held. And just as entire wine
collections are frequently passed from one owner to the
next, entire collections of related domain names are also
frequently resold through multiple owners for
ever-increasing profits.

In what other industry can a speculator have this level of
flexibility in his investment? Imagine if you could
purchase stocks and bonds through your stock broker this
way how much money you could generate? It’s no small wonder
why the domain name industry is quickly growing into one of
the largest and most aggressive investment markets in
existence. By 2010 it is estimated it will grow into a $4
billion market.

I’ve personally been “dabbling” into the world of “Domainers”
and so far, I really like what I see!

There’s a few different information products out there that
teach the ins and outs of domain name investing that I’ve
bought but one that I just recently purchased gives some
really heads up information and teaches you EXACTLY how
to get started.

I can’t believe he doesn’t charge more for this. Included
with the product are numerous videos and PDFs that are
very easy to follow and understand in “layman’s” terms.

For $37 (with built-in coupon) you really can’t go wrong.

Ya Gotta Love it

I’ve been involved in an ongoing debate for a
long time now. The debate has been between me,
myself, and I.

This debate is something that everyone has going
on within themselves. If this inner dialogue or
internal “debate” isn’t going on or has never
happened with you, you may have some serious
psychological problems going on with you.

What I’ve been debating with myself for so long
about is this….

“What am I going to do with my life? What would
really make me happy? What do I really enjoy
doing with my time? What is my purpose? What are
my goals for my life?”

Round and round we go. Me, myself and I are
constantly going back and forth on this.

So, like alot of you might do too, I read alot of
books. You know the “self-help” kind? The ones
that give you different perspectives, viewpoints
and techniques for finding true happiness.

Anyway, I just finished reading a book by Larry
Winget “The Pitbull of Personal Development” called

There is a paragraph in that book on page 184
that really made me think.

He said:

“Love What You Do….. When you love what you do,
you will become excellent at it. The more excellent
you are at what you do, the more you will be paid to
do it. Therefore, loving what you do is the key to
your personal compensation and your ultimate prosperity.
In addition, when you love what you do, you will be
happier, more confident, and even healthier because
you are more at ease with you life.”

Man, he nailed it! If you think about it that’s exactly right.

If you’re doing something you don’t like for a
living, why are you still doing it? Because you think
you have to?

I firmly believe that no one should do anything
that they don’t truly enjoy doing. Especially when
they are doing it to make a living and provide for
their family.

This has been a constant struggle for me and I’m
sure for most people.

When I first started my quest for making money
online, that’s exactly what it was for…. to find
ways to make money. Period.

I was constantly looking for ways to make more
money. Magazines, books, articles, courses,
seminars….it didn’t matter. I was constantly
looking for ways to make money. It didn’t really
matter to me how the money was going to be made,
as long as it worked and made money.

Now that I’ve found what I truly enjoy doing to
make money, things seem to get easier all the way
around.

I am still naturally constantly looking for ways
to make more money. But, now I’m alot more
discriminant about where I look and who I listen
to when I’m trying to find those money making ways.

So, I would urge you to really do some soul
searching. If you are looking for ways to make more
money and one of those ways is through Internet
Marketing, I would strongly suggest that you look
at the reasons why.

Why do you think making a living through online
ventures would really be enjoyable for you? Is it truly
something that you love doing?

If not, it will be a constant struggle. You won’t
have any fun. And because you aren’t having any fun
or if it’s a constant struggle, it will be hard to make
any real money at it.

It will be more work and pain and struggle than
it’s worth, just to make money.

In your quest to make more money, I would strongly
urge you to make sure that what you are going to be
doing to earn that money is something you truly love
doing.

You gotta love it or it isn’t worth it.

Whether it’s making money online or through other
means you gotta love what you do.

Ever wonder what the difference is between copy that compels you to buy and copy that compels you to leave a website? Here are 5 tools you can use right now to write copy that compels your visitors to buy or at least stay on your website longer.

1. Use conversational copy. Talk to your readers. How do you talk? When you speak do you use contractions? Do you use colloquialisms? Write like you talk and you’ll make a better connection with your readers.

2. Use active words. Do you want to compel your readers to act or command them to act? Do you want your readers to benefit from your product or do you want it to change their life? Words have power. Find specific active verbs to paint your copy, to make it exciting and lively.

3. Make your copy benefit oriented. Honestly, your readers don’t care if your lawnmower has a push button start. What they care about is that the lawnmower starts easily. Your owners don’t care if your lawnmower has a tight turning radius. They want to know that mowing around their rose bush is easy and doesn’t require a 30-point turn. Sell benefits not features.

4. Use common language. Make sure that you use words that people know. Absolutely do not, even if you’re writing for rocket scientists, use tech speak or jargon. Not only is jargon boring but also you’ll lose your audience if they don’t know what you’re talking about. Do use words that people are familiar with and can connect to.

5. Use emotions. We all want to feel smarter, richer, happier, thinner, more respected and so on. Use these emotions and emotional needs to connect with your reader. For example, “Do you feel paralyzed every time you have to go shopping? Do you hate trying on clothes? Does stepping in front of that three way mirror strike fear inside you?”

Compelling web copy has many business building benefits. It will keep your visitors glued to your site. It will bring visitors back to your site. It will generate traffic and increase your search engine ranking. Compelling copy also sells!
